Fatimah and Ali are so lucky cos like Mukhtar’s school, their school also has Halal food options. So they’re spoilt for choice during their lunchtime at school.
They have a variety of healthy, well-balanced, freshly cooked food like noodles, rice and curry, jacket potato, roast chicken, fish and chips, pasta, porridge, a selection of sandwiches, and the list goes on. Of course, the main dish will be accompanied by greens on the side and also pudding to complete their meal.
But they still bring a snack for their break time at school. Their favourite snack choice is always fruits. Sometimes they do bring brioche, a mini pack of biscuits or a pack of crisps, but bananas, apples and oranges are always their number one choice - bless these fruitarians! 🍌🍎🍊

話說上星期開學吃了三文治做午餐後
兩兄弟就問可唔可以帶飯😅
但又要考慮只可凍食
而且媽媽想偷懶~所以就先拖著😂
昨晚就想不如試下帶炒麵
今早起身炒了麵
不知道凍食下會唔會不好吃😅
等他們放學再聽他們意見
哥哥學校這個月都沒有午餐供應
細佬學校則少了熱食的選擇
每天兩個選擇,其中一個會是Jacket Potato(焗薯),但他都不太喜歡
所以有時他都要求一起帶午餐
學校有寫明糖果和朱古力不能帶回校作為午餐
雖然據兩兄弟所描述薯片/爆谷經常出現在其他小朋友的午餐😂
他們初初都會很想要
給我洗腦完畢後
現在也沒有那麼在意
我們平常有時候也會吃這些零食
不過我的心態是不希望他們把這些零食當午餐

❤️ "Khoai tây mặc áo khoác" - Jacket Potato là một trong những món khoái khẩu của mình ở bên Anh! Một món ăn đơn giản, rẻ nhưng ngon cực kỳ nhé. Tuy nhiên hồi ở Anh thì mình toàn đi ăn hàng thôi, rồi về đến Việt Nam là quên luôn mất nó. Tự nhiên hôm nay nhớ nước Anh quá nên lọ mọ đi mua đồ về tự làm, không biết là lần đầu thử làm có ngon như ở bên kia không. Các bạn làm cùng mình nhé!

Lazy Student Meals in 15 Minutes | Healthy, Cheap, Fast

Just like you, I was once a student, and the truth is, you can get really lazy to cook for yourself especially when you are living on your own with very limited space and cooking utensils.
During my first year in Uni, I ate out every single day and without even realising it, I started gaining weight. It wasn’t until towards the end of my 2nd year, where I started to learn to cook for myself. I had no idea what I was doing. So it was super basic cooking, with very little ingredients, but hey, that got back on a healthier eating track and that’s how I got into fitness.
Here are 3 of my favourite student meals, which I still cook up till today because they are easy, you won’t need a lot of ingredients or space and they can be ready in under 15 minutes.

JACKET POTATO with TUNA & MELTED CHEESE
Ingredients (serves 1)
1. 1 large Potato, washed – 197Cals
2. ½ can Tuna Chunks – 55Cals
3. 2 tbsps. Cheese, shredded – 36Cals
4. 1 tbsp. Yoghurt – 59Cals
5. ¼ tsp. Mixed Herbs
Steps:
1. The first step is to prick the potato all over with a knife.
2. Then cook the potato on full power in the microwave for 7 to 10 minutes, depending on the size of your potato.
3. While the potato is cooking, in a bowl, mix the tuna chunks, yoghurt and herbs together. Then set it aside.
4. After 10 minutes, remove the potato from the microwave and cut the potato in half lengthwise and fill up with tuna mixture.
5. Then I’m going to top it up with some shredded cheese. Place it back into the microwave, and cook very quickly for about one and a half minutes just to melt the cheese.
Per Serving - 337Cals
WHITE BEANS & CHICKEN SOUP
Ingredients (serves 4)
1. 1 can White Beans, rinsed and drained – 380Cals
2. 1 Chicken Breast (400g), cubed – 780Cals
3. 2 Onions, chopped – 92Cals
4. 4 Celery Stalks, chopped – 24Cals
5. 1 Carrot, sliced – 25Cals
6. 1 Tomato, sliced – 22Cals
7. 4 cups Chicken Stock – 48Cals
8. ¼ tsp. Mixed Herbs
9. Salt and Pepper to taste
Steps:
1. Start by prepping all your ingredients. Chopped all the vegetables - onions, celery, carrot and tomato. And slice up the chicken breast.
2. The next step is to simple fill up a pot with chicken stock and add in all your ingredients.
3, I’m seasoning mine with a little bit of mixed herbs and salt and pepper.
4. Allow all the ingredients to cook under medium heat for 15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and vegetables are tender. Serve warm!

BLACK BEAN SALSA WRAP
Ingredients (serves 4)
1. 1 can Black Beans, rinsed and drained – 336Cals
2. 1 can Corn, rinsed and drained – 196Cals
3. 1 Red Bell Pepper, chopped – 30Cals
4. 3 tbsps. Salsa Sauce – 12Cals
5. 4 tbsps. Cheese, shredded – 72Cals
6. 2 cups Spinach – 14Cals
7. ½ tsp. Mixed Herbs
8. 4 Wholegrain Wrap – 520Cals
Steps:
1. In a bowl, simple combine the beans, corn, bell pepper, salsa sauce and season with mixed herbs.
2. Now let’s assemble it! Place your wrap on a plate. Arrange a handful of spinach. Then, spoon the bean mixture onto the wrap and I’m going to top mine with a little bit of shredded cheese and roll it up!

焗薯點整先好食??
材料:
薯仔 2
牛油,水牛芝士 50g,粟米 1 tbsp,墨西哥辣椒 1 tbsp,煙肉脆片,雞蛋 1/2,酸忌廉 1 tsp,香甜辣椒醬 1 tsp,番茜,
牛油,水牛芝士 50g,粟米 1 tbsp,墨西哥辣椒 1 tbsp,煙肉脆片,車里茄 3,車打芝士
做法:
1. 焗薯仔
2. 將薯仔中間分半,加入牛油,水牛芝士,拌勻
3. 加上粟米,墨西哥辣椒,煙肉脆片,雞蛋 ,酸忌廉,香甜辣椒醬,番茜
4. 另一個薯仔也一樣,重複步驟2
5. 再加上粟米,墨西哥辣椒 ,煙肉脆片,車里茄,車打芝士
